What We Believe About:

God
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all that come to Him by faith, through Jesus Christ.

The Bible
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is not only God, but truly human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Additionally, we believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible return from heaven.

Salvation
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Furthermore, that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, and was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and implement Christ's work of redeeming the lost and empowering the godly living and service.

Separation of the Believer
We believe that separation of the believer is a true biblical concept, "We are in the world but not of it". Sanctification means both practical and positional separation. We have been separated unto God for His purposes. We have been separated "from" an unholy life, as we are separated "to" Him in a holy life. Practically, we are not separated from the world, that is taken out of it, but while in it separated unto Him in a positional manner. In this way, God's purposes of evangelism and influence are in force throughout the world, that we might be "salt and light in a dark world." We are separated, not isolated, in order that we influence those "who are being called out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Spiritual Warfare
As this separation takes place positionally through salvation, and the practical separation becomes evident the warfare is taking place between the rule of this present world system and God's system of righteousness. The Scripture clearly states that the believer is engaged in warfare of the spiritual dimensions and consequences. The world is under the rulership of Satan and his influence. The Christian need not be overpowered by the Adversary but because of "the world, flesh and devil" the believer must be ever aware of the potential of his sin being used to trip him or her up, thus bringing harm upon the body of Christ. This warfare is engaged at all times in private and in public. That is why we are to know His Word and under the mighty influence of His Holy Spirit walk in the power of His might, not one's own might.

The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe that these gifts have been sovereignly dispensed to true believers for there is but only one baptism. This baptism occurs at the moment of salvation, however through the life of the believer they may experience many fillings of the Holy Spirit. These fillings are moments or periods of time of increased control, obedience and discernment which empowers the gift that the individual has been given. These gifts are spiritually endowed not naturally endowed, that is to say, one may possess a natural talent or ability but it may or may not be utilized by the Holy Spirit. The test of the spiritual gifts produce truly spirit filled results that can be attributed to God and not to a natural or human initiative. These gifts are used for the equipping of God's servants to accomplish His purposes in this world. Therefore, the spiritual gifts are beyond human intuition, ability, skill and power. They are without manipulation of the human will and supersede to the biblical competency of obedience. The Gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12:4-31) are not to be confused with the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-26).

Things To Come
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the eternal existence of both in either heaven or hell, in divine judgments, rewards, and punishments. The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is both imminent and personal, and this "blessed hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of each Christian (Matthew 24:14-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Jesus Christ will come in the air to receive His own to Himself and take them into Heaven-the rapture.

The Church
We believe that the church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head. The true Church is composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. This body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have been immersed upon a credible confession of faith and have associated them for worship, for instruction, for evangelism, and for service. We believe the ordinances of the local church are "believers baptism" by immersion and the "Lord's Supper".
